Do you love puzzle games? Try Patches now—a fun and intelligent puzzle game with great visuals and brain-tickling fun!

Patches is a logic puzzle game in which players need to split a grid into legal rectangles. Clue cells are placed on the board, and each rectangle must contain precisely one clue. The catch is that you can’t just drag parts about willy-nilly. The shape, size, and location of each piece must fit the information given. Go on, have a go at Patches now!

Gameplay—A blank grid, endless possibilities

At first sight, Patches seems like a plain grid with some dispersed symbols. However, each vacant cell might be part of numerous other rectangles. Players must methodically rule out options until the whole grid is complete. Each level has one answer; thus, it’s a matter of logical thinking, not chance. Defeat all levels now!

The rules may seem simple, but they dictate the entire board

  • Each piece must contain exactly one clue.
  • No cells can be left outside of the pieces.
  • Each cell belongs to only one piece.
  • The shape of the piece must correspond to the symbol.
  • If a number is present, the piece's area must match that number exactly.
  • Clues without numbers can form pieces of various sizes, provided all other conditions are met.

Small numbers can be crucial to solving the puzzle

Clues with numbers like 2, 3, 5, or 7 are particularly significant because they can only form strips that are one cell wide or high. The orientation of the strip is determined by the accompanying symbol. These are points that can help players quickly lock in a section of the board and set the stage for further deductions.
