Pips Unlimited is an online puzzle game that turns familiar dominoes into bits of a numerical puzzle. You try to complete the riddles successfully and get a good score. In each round, you need to lay all the dominoes on the board while making sure the different color-coded zones match their criteria. Therefore, a placement may perfectly match the shape but still be incorrect if the dots on the sides of the domino violate the zone's rules. What are you waiting for? Join Pips Unlimited today!

Gameplay—Each color zone is a mini-puzzle

The board is divided into multiple zones, each governed by a specific rule. Some zones need the sum of the dots to equal a specified amount; others require that all values be identical, distinct, or above or below a certain threshold. Since various zones live on the same board, a single domino placement may trigger numerous circumstances simultaneously:

Interpreting numbers like a code

If a zone has a number, the total number of dots in that zone must equal that number. Areas with fewer cells are frequently simpler to solve and might be a starting point for the whole board.

The “=” and “≠” signs—rules that seem simple but can be tricky

The sign "=" means that the dot values in the zone must be the same, while the sign "≠" means they must be different. If the summation zones are nearby, the player must take into account both the values of individual cells and the overall number of dots. This game is the place where one domino may be the deciding piece for numerous rules at once.

The < and > symbols create "danger zones"

Conditions such as < N or > N don't need a precise total; they just provide a boundary. This approach allows a little more freedom but also makes it easier to put in a domino that seems legal by mistake. Think of each symbol as a wall; the total pips may go up and down but must not cross the line.

Tips for solving Pips Unlimited without relying on luck

  • Prioritize areas with fewer cells or clear conditions.
  • Check the sum before deciding where to place a domino.
  • Pay special attention to dominoes positioned between two colored zones.
  • For the '=' symbol, consider the common value that might apply to the entire zone.
  • For '≠', rule out placements that result in duplicate values.
  • After every move, re-evaluate all affected zones.
  • If a placement creates too many conflicts, remove the piece and try a different approach.
